This next one is from a church in my hometown with, obviously, very Christian values:
I do give them credit for using the correct versions of “altar” and “alter” on their sign…bravo! Also found at this church, reinforcing their sign:

This sign was found by Ham at a house (a house – not a church!) north of Cooperstown, NY in November 2004. How nice of them to lay out our options for us using a lovely stencil and spray-paint medium! I just love the graphic for “HELL” with its firey explosion. I wonder why they didn’t give “JESUS” a shiny golden halo, or something that looks as pretty and inviting as Hell. Hell looks like a radiant summer flower! Whomever they are, I am positive they voted for President Bush. Both times. -K
